Play Yahtzee against the computer
No one around? Start a quick game and take on the Yam's App robot: Normal level to relax, Expert level, which follows the mathematically optimal strategy, to measure yourself against the best.
Start a game in three taps
- On the home screen, tap "Quick game".
- Choose the part luck plays: each rolls their own dice, or the same dice for you and the robot.
- Set the robot's level, and play. No lobby, no sign-up: the table is just you and it.
Two levels
- Normal: it plays well without calculating everything. An opponent within your reach.
- Expert: it follows the optimal strategy for Yahtzee, computed for every roll and every state of the sheet. Beating it takes very good choices… and a bit of luck.
The robot plays with the dice built into the app, and it does not cheat: it only knows the dice of the current roll, and discovers the next ones at the same time as you.
The same dice as the robot
With the same rolls for everyone, you and the robot get exactly the same dice, in the same order. You always play first. At the end, only your decisions separate the two scores: the best way to know whether you played well.
The summary also shows the perfect sheet: the best score possible had you known all the dice in advance. Comparing your score with the robot's, then with that perfect sheet, tells you what your game was really worth.
Get better
The game assistant can whisper, on every roll, which dice to keep and which box to aim for — and "Why?" explains the details. Your games and statistics (wins, averages, records) are saved automatically.
