No dice at hand? This free dice roller rolls 1 to 6 dice on a real 3D dice tray. Keep the dice you like and reroll the rest: everything you need to play Yahtzee (Yam's) with a score sheet, or any board game.

    How it works

    1. Roll throws the dice onto the tray. A quick tap makes a small throw; hold the button for a harder one: the dice shake in your hand, harder and harder, until you let go.
    2. Tap a die to keep it: it moves below the tray, from left to right, and won't be rerolled. Tap it again to put it back in play.
    3. The counter shows the current roll (Roll 2 of 3) and, with five dice, the combination you got: Three of a kind, Full house, Small or Large straight, Four of a kind, Yahtzee.
    4. New turn puts every die back on the tray and resets the counter.

Four trays, four kinds of dice

In Appearance, pick your tray — green casino felt, wood, red leather or slate — and your dice: ivory, casino red, black or wood. Each tray has its own sound and bounce: dice clatter on wood and slate, and land softly on leather. Your choices are saved on your device, along with your roll history.

Rather have the points add up by themselves?

Yam's App keeps the score sheet on your phone, rolls the dice for you and tracks your stats. Or print a score sheet to play with this dice roller.

    Frequently asked questions

    Are the dice really random?
Yes. Each die's value is drawn by your browser's secure random generator, every face having exactly a one-in-six chance. The motion of the dice on screen only stages that draw.
How many dice can I roll?
One to six, with the − and + buttons. Five dice for Yahtzee, two for most board games, a single one for Ludo.
Do I need an internet connection?
Only to open the page. After that, every roll happens on your phone, without sending anything.
Does it work with a screen reader?
Yes. With TalkBack or VoiceOver, every roll is read aloud (the values, the combination and the total), and each die can be kept or put back in play without seeing it.
    Is the dice roller free?
Yes, entirely, and with no sign-up.
